What Kris Thinks about…

…blogging

I remember blogging to be a lot less complicated. All you had to do was to set up an account on Blogger.com and off you go.

Now I have to create my own domain name, think about SEO and decide which plugins will be useful on my page. I wish there was a button down at the bottom of the rows of options that I can tick where it says “I just want to write down my thoughts“.

I haven’t blogged in years. The closest I got to blogging in recent memory is a few updates here and there on my Tumblr page. Prior to that I would use blogger to post about my life in college and back then it was all text as this pre-dated camera phones that took photos worthy of blog posts.

These days, people document their life through vlogs. I rejected this option as the thought of taking a video of myself talking about my life made me want to not do this at all. Hence I am back to old-school blogging.

So why am I doing this?

I am doing this to document the changes in my life (was tempted to say daily life but LOL that’s not going to happen) and share my reflections as I go along. I am now a mother and I am on maternity leave so there’s a lot going on but not a lot really, if that makes sense? Who cares, I am the only one reading this.

I actually wished I started doing this while I was pregnant but I was too busy trying to pretend I am productive while carrying this Bub in my belly while simultaneously preparing for his arrival. I guess that’s what twitter is for.

Anyway.

I really hope I can keep this up. I paid $70+ dollars for this so I better be. I just need to figure out how to navigate through this interface gah!
